Effective lobbying is based on the development of ongoing
relationships. Lobbying involves meeting with decision makers to discuss
issues you believe in. OECTA Speaks is a series
of information sheets that addresses a variety of educational and social
justice issues. They are mailed directly to every MPP. They're a useful
lobbying tool.
OECTA presidents and political action committee members
can use the information in these newsletters to provide a focus for
their meetings with MPPs. They can also be adapted for use in local
member publications and op-ed articles in local newspapers.
